NURSING
SCHOOL (2009) August 2009 - May 2011. Awarded
RN by State of Florida 7/11/2011.
THAI-YOGA
MASSAGE (2006)
24 hours of traditional Thai-Yoga on the mat. It was allot of
fun, and I was introduced to several new ways of offering
massage. This is a work in progress. I took the workshop to get
a little more educated... and have some fun.
KINESIS
MYOFASCIAL INTEGRATION
[ KMI ] (6/2004 - 5/2005) Completed 500 hours of advanced
training under the direct tutelage
of founder Tom Myers
and, I am certified to practice Structural Integration.
MYOKINESTHETIC
SYSTEM (2003)
The spinal nerves represent continuity between the brain and all
the body tissues. The spinal nerves are transmitted through
mobile openings of intervertebral Foramen and encroachment is
therefore possible. This approach re-educates the muscles
on a neurological level to accelerate the healing process. It is
a specific treatment for a specific problem, which can be
applied fully dressed and within 15 to 20 minutes.
MYOFASCIAL
RELEASE (2001)
I have taken the Myofascial Release One and the Myofascial
Mobilization workshops. John Barnes, PT imparts his knowledge
and 40 years of experience in cutting edge bodywork to the
manual therapist. I closely integrate this style of bodywork
into my everyday practice. The experience is dramatic, and the
healing is lasting. top
BRUCE
HOCKING D.AC., (2000)
an acupuncturist from Canada gave his seminar in three 16 hour
workshops. His teachings gave me more of a practical knowledge
in the field of pain control and relief using a low power e-stim
probe in concert with my manual therapy. top
SHIRLEY
SPEAR BEGLEY (2000) has practiced TT for over 18
years, and has been closely mentored by Dolores Krieger, Ph.D.,
RN the co-creator of Therapeutic Touch and other well-known
leaders in mind/body awareness and the healing arts. I was
fortunate enough to attend one of her introductory weekend
workshops and a follow-up practicum. The power of subtle
energies is very real and is a very helpful tool when married
with manual therapy especially the myofascial release bodywork. top
JAMES
WASLASKI (1999)
His style and knowledge center around sports and sports injury
rehabilitation. Although I have not gone through is full
program, I have excelled in the type of bodywork for which he is
so famous. In fact, my encounter with him was so monumental that
it changed my outlook on the future of my developing practice.
